Mission Trip to South Mississippi Delta a SUCCESS
On February 2, 2025, fourteen representatives from the NCI and PH presbyteries traveled to Rolling Fork, MS to assist the Presbyterian Disaster Association (PDA) with rebuilding the local community following the F4 tornados that hit the area in March of 2023. This is the same city they helped in last year. The group saw some exciting changes, but also many reminders of the devastation remains (still no fire station, operational high school, or courthouse). The team worked at Miss Angela’s house. She shared her story of being in her house when the tornado hit. Three trees fell on her house causing a lot of damage. Her insurance covered a new roof and replaced windows, but she needed help to repair siding, soffit and fascia. Miss Chris and Mr. Darrell (the project managers) thought she needed a nice new paint job too! This mission team of hard workers returned home on February 7, 2025. We thank them for giving their time and talents to do God’s work in this way!
