New Communications Associate for the Three Presbyteries
We are pleased to announce that Laura Schieber will start on March 15 as the new associate for communications to serve the three presbyteries. A native of Iowa, Laura Schieber has been a part of many PCUSA congregations throughout her faith journey.
Laura Schieber has been a part of many PCUSA congregations throughout her faith journey. Born in Nevada, IA, she lived in St. Louis, Seattle, and Chicago before landing in Windsor Heights, IA. Laura lives with her husband and three children, and is a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in West Des Moines. In addition to working with the UPP, Laura is on staff at Covenant as the Director of Christian Education. There she enjoys planning and organizing activities for children and youth. Laura has a passion for writing and graphic design, and enjoys learning new software and technologies. Early in her career, Laura worked in the import/export industry (ocean and rail freight), using her degree in Transportation & Logistics/Supply Chain Management from Iowa State University. When not attending a school or sporting event for her kids, Laura enjoys camping, water activities, biking, hiking, and reading.
Congratulations and welcome, Laura. When they announced your name at the presbytery meeting it didn’t click with me that it was you until I saw the picture. I’m so happy to hear that you are still faithfully serving God and the Presbyterian Church. We hope to get to the Des Moines area sometime to see you and your folks.
