FPC Algona Gives to Moving Veterans Forward

Members of First Presbyterian Church in Algona raised $2,334.28 for Moving Veterans Forward of North Central Iowa. John Emswiler, director of Moving Veterans Forward of North Central Iowa, receives a check from members and friends of First Presbyterian Church, Algona. Money was received through a Mission Partnership Grant and matching funds were raised from a Shrove Tuesday waffle fundraiser on Feb. 13. Emswiler said the contribution will significantly support ongoing efforts to provide housing set up to veterans in our community.
