Mason City FPC Rededicates Sanctuary Windows

Mason City First Presbyterian Church rededicated the amazing Bob White windows in the sanctuary, on Sunday November 19th, 2023.

The windows are an intricate part of First Presbyterian Church’s history. Telling the story of Creation “God” through The apocalypse “Mankind” windows. The Messiah Windows which line the sanctuary are based on the script that Handel used as the lyrics of his great “Messiah” oratorio.

At the reception afterward, Eric Protzman, great nephew of Bob White answered questions and told many stories.

Bob White, the artist, was born in Oskaloosa, IA. He was the first to use both stained and fused glass. His works include Chicago’s North Shore Unitarian Church and the First Presbyterian Church in Mason City.
